MCEP – Marin Climate and Energy Partnership

Since 2007, the Marin Climate and Energy Partnership (MCEP) has been a group of representatives from all Marin towns/cities, Marin County, Marin Municipal Water District, Marin Clean Energy, and the Transportation Authority of Marin.

MCEP works together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our government operations and in our Marin communities. The Program has developed greenhouse gas inventories and climate action plans for member cities, and collaborated on a wide range of greenhouse gas reduction programs, such as green building regulations, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, and zero waste initiatives.

Since the beginning of the program, grants and contracts for work on behalf of the MCEP members have been obtained in addition to voluntary contributions made by members to cover program activities.
